WORKSHOP: Making Use of Data, How Ag Data Coalition Benefits Diversified Stakeholders

This session is planned to outline the benefits of the Ag Data Coalition (ADC) cloud-based platform enables connecting to multiple users and ag cloud platforms to organize and share data within or outside an organization.  Speakers with cover use of the ADC platform within a retailer and academic settings that will include demonstrating use and value examples for Growers, Ag Retailers, Application Service Providers, Precision Ag Product & Service providers and others.

John is a Professor in the Food, Agriculture and Biological Engineering Department at the Ohio State University (OSU).  His research and extension focuses on precision agriculture, machinery automation and use of spatial data to improve crop production and the farm business.  He leads the Digital Ag Program at Ohio State University that includes the OSU eFields on-farm research network.

Daniel received his B.S. and M.S. in Biosystems Engineering from Auburn University. After a brief stint as a water resources engineer, he joined the ag technology team at Agri-AFC, LLC. as a Precision Ag Specialist. Today he is the Ag Technologies Manager for the Georgia District of Agri-AFC where he works with retail locations to implement grower-focused, ag-tech solutions and data management strategies for the customers of Agri-AFC. Agri-AFC is a joint venture between WinField United and Alabama Farmers Cooperative with locations in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Florida.
